A Thank You from a Mother

  • Schools are often bombarded with complaints but very little is ever said in thanks. I would like to address that imbalance. I initially chose Brigidine College for its size, its single gender, its close proximity to home but ultimately for its ethos. I chose well. The ethos of Brigidine didn't waver in the 5 years my daughter has attended the College. She graduated with strength and gentleness. Isabel wanted to be engaged in school life. Brigidine College accepted her into all she pursued from Grade 8 through to Grade 12. She was able to be in the school band. She was able to perform in the school's musicals and not least, she was able to achieve academically. My daughter's desire to be included in all aspects of College life was fostered by the entire College staff. That is the ethos I wanted for my daughter. Her education has been well met. She's a very happy girl. Thank you. Re-printed with the permission of Frances Watt, mother of Isabel Year 12 2008.
