Georgia Raworth and Trinity Schossow, both Year 10 students, have been accepted into Brisbane City Council’s Green Heart Schools 2019 Student Environmental Leadership Network (SELN). The program aims to empower them to implement an environmental project to improve Brigidine’s sustainability. SELN is a unique learning and leadership program that engages and supports school communities to take action to be cleaner, greener and more sustainable. Throughout the year, Georgie and Trinity will attend five Council facilitated meetings gaining knowledge, confidence and leadership skills that will equip them to develop and lead the project at our College. The Lord Mayor, councillors and environmental experts will also attend scheduled SELN meetings to support students to lead environmental discussions and work together to develop projects.
