Brigidine smARTS

October 25, 2017
The creative curriculum at Brigidine College offers students opportunities to follow their passions in dance, drama, music, visual arts, textiles, sustainable and digital technologies. That's our Brigidine smARTS! Watch our students enhance the words of Queensland Ballet Artistic Director, Li Cunxin: https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/new-snr-assessment-te/redev-snr-syll/21st-century-skills/li-cunxin He talks about the richness offered to our students when they are open to learning new things; to develop skills like: *courage, imagination and passion *communication; flexibility in applying new learning *AND the value of hard work. As he says - "Have your heart in the right place." All of these values are at the heart of a Brigidine Education.

Harness your own voice...

October 23, 2017
Penelope Twemlow holds among her many titles, that of The Founder and Chair of Women in Power. In this QCAA video, she lists some important skills for students in the 21st century.  Our Brigidine girls feature heavily in this footage because the qualities that she champions are those that we practise every day at Brigidine. https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/new-snr-assessment-te/redev-snr-syll/21st-century-skills/penelope-twemlow Brigidine girls are 'harnessing their own voices' because at the College, they have opportunities for leadership development. They are 'individuals working in a collective'.   They are 'flexible and agile in their 'out of the box' thinking'. A Brigidine Education is a well-rounded one where each young woman can discover her own passions. That's exactly what we are all about: creating strong and gentle young women with 21st century savvy! Visit the College and see for yourself.  Your daughter deserves the opportunity to be a woman of power, too.
