Brigidine College Indooroopilly and Brigidine College St Ives have a long history of healthy competition with the annual sporting exchange program. This year, it has been our turn to host the St Ives students. Our girls had great support from their parents and students on the side lines. It is always a fun experience welcoming the St Ives ladies to our College!

At Brigidine College, we value our engagement with, and support of, remote communities, through our social justice focus and passion to make a difference. Five students, Maeve McKenzie, Olivia Chalk, Eliza Hansen, Eliza Hibberd and Sarah Bonner, are travelling to Arnhem Land on the Red Earth Schools 2018 Indigenous Outreach Program in the upcoming holidays. The students will build a vegetable garden and fence for a chicken coop, which will go a long way in assisting the community to be sustainable into the future. Students need to raise $500 in order to purchase the necessary materials required for the project. They have set up a Go Fund Me Campaign to assist with raising funds from the College, and external communities. We invite all members of the Brigidine family, past, present and future, to support this fantastic initiative. Hear from the girls about what they hope to achieve as part of the experience and how they will build lasting connections with the Indigenous community, in the video on their GoFundMe page.
